While at Mount Havana we give you the opportunity to visit a tea factory and see how the green leaves of the fields become that steaming cuppa of that golden brew that so many of us love.

You can follow the leaves from the moment the tea-pluckers bring in their baskets right here at the Orange Tea Factory located just 10 minutes away from our villa. From here the leaves are withered, fermented, dried and sorted.

Visiting the Orange Tea Factory enables you to see, smell, taste and touch the tea at every stage of the production process, and get an understanding of why certain teas taste as they do. This tour will end in a tasting session of the different varieties grown at the plantation. This visit normally lasts about an hour and provides a good chance to buy fine Sri Lankan tea at very reasonable prices.
